Brigid is a Celtic Goddess associated with spring. Imbolc (roughly February 2) marks the beginning of spring in the Northern hemisphere. It is said that as Brigid walks this night of Imbolc, whereever her dress touches the ground, snowdrop flowers appear, marking the beginning of the end of winter and the coming of spring. Imbolc is not just a day; it is an entire season. It is a season of awakening. Winter is a time of restoration, visioning, and dreaming. This holiday marking the beginning of spring asks us what have we awakened to in our deep wintry and dreamy slumber. Just as the Earth is waking up, slowly but surely, from its wintry yin time, so are you. This tincture helps you to anchor within to really somatically understand what is alive within you your wintering begins to come to a close. Plaese note that this tincture does not have be used just during this particular part of the year, for it can be used anytime you are wintering. For example, the postpartum fourth trimester was a deeply yin, dreamy, and also awakening time for me after I gave birth to my daughter in July. So, this tincture can be used any time to decipher what's most alive in you and/or to awaken when you feel generally sleepy and stagnated in your life.
